Deworming cats regularly helps ensure their health and prevents the spread of parasites.

Parasites can affect your pet in a variety of ways, ranging from simple irritation to causing life-threatening conditions if left untreated. Some parasites can even infect and transmit diseases to you and your family.

What are some internal cat parasites?

Internal parasites can include roundworm, hookworm, tapeworm and heartworm. Outdoor cats especially those who hunt are more at risk for tape work infections.

What are worm infestation symptoms in cats?

Diarrhea, bloody stool, weight loss and poor hair coat can all be symptoms of parasitic infections but often there are no obvious signs.

Do worms affect humans?

Roundworm and hookworm can be transmitted from your pet to you and your family.

What is the deworming schedule?

Deworming medications should be administered monthly.

Does deworming medications have side effects?

Any medication has the potential to cause side effects however typically we do not see side effects from deworming medications.
