Euthanasia

Providing support, guidance, and compassionate care during a difficult time.

We understand how difficult it can be to say goodbye to a beloved family member. We offer this compassionate service to our clients either at our hospital or at your home.

What is pet euthanasia?

Pet euthanasia is a peaceful end of life practice that allows you to say goodbye to a beloved family member with dignity.

How do I know it is the right time?

If they cannot do the things they have always enjoyed and it is causing them discomfort and distress, you may wish to have a quality of life discussion with your veterinarian.

What drug is used?

A combination of medications including a medication called euthanyl are administered to help reduce stress and anxiety and to keep your pet comfortable.

What’s the cost of euthanasia?

We also offer communal cremation and private cremation. Please contact our clinic for further information.

Does the clinic also provide bereavement counselling?

We can refer you to several websites to help: The Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement, The Rainbow Bridge, and Metro Pet Crematory can also offer support. As well some pet insurance companies offer bereavement counselling.
